Manual Installation

If HACS is not available, a previously installed version has become corrupted, or a specific release needs to be installed quickly, this manual installation method can be used.

IMPORTANT

Installing manually does not support automatic update notifications. Home Assistant will not notify when a new version is released, which is why this method is generally not recommended unless strictly necessary.

WARNING

This method must not be used if the integration was already installed via HACS. Installing manually over a HACS installation will cause conflicts with HACS version tracking.

The installation script downloads and extracts the necessary integration files directly into the Home Assistant custom_components directory. It also supports installing a specific release by passing the version number as an argument.

Install the latest release

wget -O - https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Tasshack/dreame-vacuum/master/install | bash -

Install a specific release

wget -O - https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Tasshack/dreame-vacuum/master/install | bash -s -- <version>

IMPORTANT

After installing the integration, Home Assistant must be restarted before it can be set up.
